Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center

HITArkansas, a division of the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, is the federally designated Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (HITREC) for the state of Arkansas. HITArkansas is part of a new effort by the federal government to increase the use of health information technology nationwide by offering guidance, technical assistance and financial incentives to health care providers who want to make the transition to electronic health records (EHRs).
